Ujjain. In a deeply heartening announcement for devotees, the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple committee has decided to offer free divine prasad to every devotee after darshan at the sacred Jyotirlinga. The distribution will take place daily after the bhog offering is presented to Baba, ensuring that every pilgrim returns home with the temple’s blessings.
A Decades-Old Tradition, Revived
Special counters have been set up at two exit gates to manage the steady flow of devotees smoothly. The initiative revives a decades-old tradition that began with the humble distribution of chironji seeds and peanuts — a sacred practice now restarted in a new form by the temple administration.
The announcement has been met with joy among pilgrims, for whom receiving prasad after beholding Lord Mahakal completes the spiritual journey. With this gracious gesture, the temple administration has once again reaffirmed its devotion to the comfort and faith of every devotee who travels to Ujjain.
