The wait is nearly over for lakhs of aspirants. The Staff Selection Commission is expected to declare the SSC GD Constable Result 2026 shortly, with media reports suggesting the merit list could be released in the first or second week of October. The Commission has not officially confirmed a date, and candidates are advised to rely only on the official website, ssc.gov.in, for the final announcement.

The computer-based examination for 25,487 Constable (General Duty) posts was conducted across the country from 27 April to 30 May 2026. The recruitment covers the Border Security Force, the Central Industrial Security Force, the Central Reserve Police Force, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, the Sashastra Seema Bal, the Assam Rifles and the Secretariat Security Force, along with Sepoy posts in the Narcotics Control Bureau. As many as 48,83,309 candidates appeared for the examination. The provisional answer key and the candidates’ response sheets were released on 15 June 2026, and objections were invited within the stipulated window.

The result will be published as a PDF merit list on the Commission’s website. The document will carry the roll numbers of candidates shortlisted for the next stage, and the category-wise cut-off marks are expected to be declared alongside. Scorecards are likely to be made available a few days later. Those who clear the written stage will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and the Physical Standard Test (PST), followed by medical examination and document verification.

To check the result, candidates should visit ssc.gov.in, open the Results section on the homepage and click the “SSC GD Constable Result 2026” link. After downloading the merit-list PDF, pressing Ctrl+F and entering the roll number will reveal whether the candidate has qualified.

A word of caution: result season routinely brings fake websites demanding login details or fees. Aspirants should check their results only on ssc.gov.in and never share personal information on unfamiliar links.
