Today our discussion will be on the sub-periods (Antardasha) of various planets during Saturn’s major period (Mahadasha).
The first sub-period in Saturn’s Mahadasha is of Saturn itself, which lasts for three years and three days. If Saturn is placed in its exalted sign, own sign, or Mool Trikona sign in the horoscope and is under benefic influence, then during this period the native gains benefits from his servants. There is a slow but steady growth in the native’s business, which is long-lasting. The native becomes hardworking in this sub-period. If Saturn is in its debilitated sign or enemy sign and placed in the Trik houses (6, 8, 12), then the native may face failure in his business during this period. The native may also suffer losses from his servants. If the sixth lord is afflicted in the horoscope, the native may suffer from chronic diseases in this period.
The second sub-period in Saturn’s Mahadasha is of Mercury, which lasts for two years, eight months and nine days. If Mercury is placed in its exalted sign, own sign, or friendly sign, then the native achieves success in his business during this period. The native also receives benefits from the maternal side. A desire to learn new subjects awakens in the native. If Mercury is under malefic influence or is in its debilitated sign and placed in the Trik houses i.e., in the 6th, 8th, 12th houses, then the native may suffer loss in business in this period. If the lord of the sixth house is afflicted in the horoscope, the native may suffer from skin diseases.
The third sub-period in Saturn’s Mahadasha is of Ketu, which lasts for one year, one month and nine days. If Ketu is under benefic influence in the horoscope, then in this sub-period the native studies religious scriptures; for this, the 9th house, 9th lord and Jupiter should also be strong. If Ketu is under malefic influence, the native faces obstacles in his work during this period. The native sometimes gets such diseases which even doctors cannot diagnose.
