He also announced the construction of a Geeta Bhavan in Badnagar and the organisation of the Kavi Pradeep Samman ceremony. On the occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of various development works worth Rs 22.34 crore at the Maa Chamunda Dham in Gajnokhedi. These announcements are expected to bring major benefits to the Badnagar region as well as the entire Ujjain division.
New project for peacock conservation and rehabilitation
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that a new project will be launched for the conservation and rehabilitation of peacocks in the state. The peacock is India’s national bird and is found in large numbers in the rural areas of Madhya Pradesh. The state government’s project is being seen as an important step towards protecting the national bird. The Chief Minister said the state government has always prioritised wildlife conservation. He recalled that the state government had carried out the historic work of reintroducing cheetahs — which had become extinct in Asia — to Madhya Pradesh. The new project for peacocks is being described as the next step in this direction. Under the project, work will be done on protecting the natural habitat of peacocks, their rehabilitation and public awareness.
Food processing park for Badnagar
Addressing the programme, the Chief Minister said a food processing park will be built in Badnagar. The park will create new employment opportunities for local farmers and youth. The processing and value addition of farm produce at the park will help farmers get better prices for their crops. The arrival of food processing industries and units will also open doors of direct and indirect employment for the region’s youth. The Chief Minister said the government’s goal is to strengthen the agriculture-based economy so that farmers are not limited to selling raw produce but become part of the value chain linked to processing. The announcement is being seen as a major step towards the economic development of the Badnagar region.
Potato processing units for farmers
The Chief Minister said new potato processing units are being started in Ujjain and Agar. These units will buy potatoes from farmers of 35 districts of the state, ensuring them a fair price for their produce. The Malwa region is known for potato cultivation, and farmers here have long demanded better prices and processing facilities for their crop. With potato processing units in place, farmers will not have to depend on distant markets to sell their produce. The increased demand for potatoes in processed form is also expected to raise farmers’ income. The Chief Minister said the government is working on farmer-friendly policies and efforts to link agriculture with industry will continue.
Major announcements in education
The Chief Minister also made important announcements in the field of education. He said new Sandipani schools will be opened at Bhat Pachlana and Ingoriya. Sandipani schools are known as centres of modern and quality education in the state. With these schools, children from surrounding rural areas will get access to better education in their own region. The Chief Minister said the all-round development of society is not possible without education and the government is committed to taking quality education to every child. The new schools will focus on values and moral education along with modern facilities.
Boost to religious tourism
The Chief Minister announced the construction of a Geeta Bhavan in Badnagar. The Kavi Pradeep Samman ceremony will also be organised in Badnagar. Kavi Pradeep, famous for his patriotic songs, was born near Badnagar, and the ceremony in his name will give a new identity to the cultural life of the region. The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones of development works worth Rs 22.34 crore at the Maa Chamunda Dham in Gajnokhedi. These works will boost religious tourism and improve facilities for devotees. Development of religious places also gives momentum to the local economy, as the arrival of pilgrims increases trade and employment opportunities.
Focus on Simhastha preparations
The Chief Minister said various development works worth Rs 25,000 crore are in progress for the preparations of Simhastha. The government is developing infrastructure on a large scale for the Simhastha to be held in Ujjain. These works include projects related to roads, drinking water, sanitation, transport and facilities for devotees. The Chief Minister said Simhastha is not just a religious event but also a symbol of the state’s image and development. The government’s goal is to make Simhastha a world-class event so that devotees coming from across the country and abroad carry back a better experience.
Transport and milk production
The Chief Minister said the Mukhyamantri Sugam Bus Sewa scheme has been restarted, making commuting easier in rural and urban areas. The scheme will help connect villages with cities and provide cheap and accessible transport facilities to common people, especially students and working people. Apart from this, efforts are being made to increase milk production through milk cooperative societies. Increased milk production will raise the income of rural families and cattle rearers will get fair prices through the cooperative structure.
Honour for Good Samaritans, air treatment for the injured
The Chief Minister said an incentive of Rs 25,000 is being given to Good Samaritans who take road accident victims to hospitals. When needed, free treatment will be provided to the injured through air ambulance and heli services. The government’s initiative is considered important to prevent deaths caused by the lack of timely treatment in road accidents. Honouring Good Samaritans will encourage common people to help accident victims.
Big claim on Naxalism
The Chief Minister claimed that Naxalism has ended in the state and Madhya Pradesh has become the state that gave the “final salute to Lal Salaam”. He said peace has been established in Naxal-affected areas through the coordinated efforts of security forces and the administration. The end of Naxalism has given momentum to development works in the affected areas and given people there the opportunity to join the mainstream.
