New Delhi Bureau. Frequent international travellers frustrated by steep roaming bills have something to look forward to: Bharti Airtel has launched a new lineup of postpaid plans that bundle free international roaming on one trip every year. The plans go live on Thursday, 8 October 2026. According to the Indian Express, the new plans also include unlimited data and calling, network-level spam and fraud protection, and OTT subscriptions.
Free roaming on one trip every year
The complimentary roaming pack bundled with the new plans offers 5GB of data, 60 minutes of calls, 25 outgoing SMS and free incoming SMS, with a validity of five days. Best of all, the pack can be activated whenever the customer chooses — not just at the time of the trip. Family-plan customers get double the joy: the free-roaming benefit applies to every SIM on the plan, so each family member gets one free international trip a year.

Plans and prices: Rs 499 to Rs 1,799
Airtel has introduced six new plans: Rs 499 (individual — Xstream Play Premium, Google One); Rs 749 (2-member family — Amazon Prime, JioHotstar, Xstream Play Premium, Google One); Rs 1,049 (3-member family — Apple iCloud+, Apple Music, Amazon Prime, JioHotstar, Xstream Play Premium, Google One); Rs 1,249 (4-member family — all of the above); Rs 1,449 (4-member family with Netflix Basic); and Rs 1,799 (5-member family with Netflix Standard). Every plan includes the one free international trip’s roaming each year.
Spam protection and Postpaid Advantage Club
All plans come with unlimited data and calling plus network-level spam and fraud protection. They also include membership of Airtel’s Postpaid Advantage Club, which offers experiences such as comedy shows, movie premieres and concerts. The company says Fast Lane technology on 5G is part of these plans as well.
What existing customers should do
Existing Airtel postpaid or prepaid customers can upgrade to the new plans through the Airtel app or at a nearby store. Customers of other operators can switch to Airtel postpaid by requesting through the app or visiting a store.
