Damoh Bureau. The Madhya Pradesh cabinet met on Monday at Singrampur in the Jabera assembly constituency of Damoh district — the first time in the district’s history that a state cabinet meeting has been held inside any Vidhan Sabha constituency. Chaired by Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, the meeting was attended by all ministers of the state government and was dedicated to the memory of the warrior queen Rani Durgavati.
Singrampur is the historic region that was the queen’s field of action, and it is home to her famed Singorgarh Fort.

Preparations reviewed ahead of the session
Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism, Culture, Religious Trusts and Endowments Dharmendra Singh Lodhi inspected the venue in Singrampur on Monday ahead of the meeting. He visited the sports ground, the site of the Rani Durgavati statue and the helipad prepared at Gubra, and issued necessary directions to officials. Lodhi said that holding the cabinet meeting at Singrampur in the Jabera constituency was a matter of fortune for the region. Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar, Superintendent of Police Shruti Kirti Somvanshi, District Panchayat CEO Arpit Verma, DFO MS Uike, Additional SP Sandeep Mishra, SDM Avinash Rawat and officers of various departments were present during the inspection.
