District-level main ceremony in Indore

The district-level main ceremony in Indore was held at Lata Mangeshkar Auditorium in Rajendra Nagar. The programme began at 10:30 in the morning. Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya attended as the chief guest. The district administration had completed all preparations for the ceremony in advance. Arrangements at the venue were made so that the large number of citizens, students and officers who attended could enjoy the programme comfortably.

The ceremony was organised under the arrangement issued by the General Administration Department. Under this arrangement, chief guests had been nominated for the Foundation Day ceremonies in different districts. For Indore, the responsibility was given to Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya. The Indore ceremony was therefore not only a cultural programme, but also the formal district-level centre of the state’s Foundation Day celebrations.

The most attractive part of the ceremony was the colourful cultural performances by school students. Through their performances, the students brought the folk art, culture and glorious traditions of Madhya Pradesh alive on stage. Folk dances, music and group presentations introduced the audience to the diversity of the state.

The purpose of these performances was not entertainment alone. They also carried the message of connecting the new generation with the cultural heritage of the state. When the students presented the traditions of the state on stage, the audience encouraged them with applause. Public representatives and officers present at the ceremony also appreciated the performances.

Development exhibition and benefit distribution

Attractive exhibitions by various government departments were put up at the venue. These exhibitions displayed the development activities and achievements of the departments. Citizens got an opportunity to learn which schemes are being worked on in their district and in which areas progress has been made. The activities and products of government departments were also displayed in the exhibition.

Along with this, eligible beneficiaries received benefits under various government schemes and programmes. Giving direct benefits to the common people on the occasion of Foundation Day was an important aspect of the ceremony. The administration believes that this welfare dimension, along with the celebration, makes the Foundation Day event meaningful. The distribution of benefits sent the message that the journey of development is not limited to the stage, but its benefits are reaching people directly.

Illuminated buildings, festive mood in the city

On the occasion of Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day, major government buildings in Indore district were decorated with attractive lighting. The administration had made special preparations for this. As evening approached, the illuminated buildings added further to the festive mood of the city. The spirit of celebration was also visible on the city’s roads and public places on the day of the ceremony.

Heads of all government offices had been instructed to attend the main ceremony compulsorily along with the officers and employees of their departments. The purpose of this instruction was that the Foundation Day ceremony should become an event with the participation of the entire administration, and not remain a merely formal programme. The presence of a large number of officers and employees fulfilled this purpose.
